Welcome to Shirt School by The NIL Shop, where student designers gain real-world experience without leaving campus. Each week, you’ll work on new design projects for athletes nationwide, collaborating closely with our team throughout the creative process from the idea stage through product launch. Every time your design sells, you’ll earn a share of the profits.

One Semester Commitment: Our 12 week program is aimed to create new opportunities, improve your design skills, and give you a full circle understanding of how the apparel industry works.

Weekly Design Projects: We tap into our expanding network of 700 athletes at 75+ colleges across the country to bring you weekly apparel design projects. You’ll be eased into the process by collaborating with our team on projects before getting total creative freedom by the end of your semester.

Online Store: After designs are approved by athletes, we launch it on our website, then sell, print, and ship every order that comes through, tracking the success of each of your designs along the way.

Recurring Commissions: Every month you’ll receive commissions for every piece of apparel sold that features your design. This continues after your semester has wrapped up, giving you residual revenue.

Learn Cool Stuff: Every week we  meet via zoom for a combination of design training and apparel industry training. By the end of your experience, you’ll walk away with the knowledge needed to start your own apparel side hustle

At least 5 hours per week commitment: this is a remote program, but we expect students to carve out enough time to discuss, design, and learn each week.

Proficiency in Design Software:Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools.

A Positive Attitude: We’re excited to work with folks who want to grow. If you’re excited to design and open to learn, this is the opportunity for you.
